Background
I graduated from Hampton University on May 13, 2018 with a BA in Journalism. While at Hampton University, I was a contributing writer for the Hampton Script newspaper, HerCampus, and produced the sports block for the on-campus newscast-WHOV News Watch. I was also a member of the women's track and field team, and received All-MEAC Athletic and Academic honors all four years.

After graduating from HU, I worked as a production intern at the Pennsylvania Cable Network in Mechanicsburg, PA. At PCN, I worked on an initiative called CIVICS101 that is now incorporated in the teaching of US civics to students in public schools across Pennsylvania.

I also coordinated commercial breaks during the Pennsylvania high school championships (track and field, lacrosse, and baseball) while at PCN.
After my internship, I worked as a production assistant at Cortina Productions in McLean, VA. Cortina Productions is a creative media design and production company that specializes in the museum field. While at Cortina, I worked on the National Soccer Hall of Fame museum project.

Between 2019 - 2021, I worked at C-Span a studio technician. I operated the robotic and non-robotic cameras for taped and live productions. While at
C-Span, I experienced 2 State of the Unions, the midterm elections and the 2020 presidential election and inauguration. I also help cover memorial events like 9/11, the Bombing of Pearl Harbor, the deconstruction of the Berlin wall, etc.

While at C-Span, I earned her Masters in Professional Studies in journalism from Georgetown University on May 16, 2020.

While at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies, I took classes ranging from; Ethics in Journalism, Photo and Video Storytelling, Reporting and News Writing, Digital Essentials, Data Reporting, Visual Communications, Political Reporting, Entrepreneurial Journalism, Audio Storytelling, and Capstone.

I currently work for Tegna Media as a Digital Video Producer. In this role, I create and edit made-for-platform videos, execute multi-platform content plans for major events and projects, and help stations find and share the best content across TEGNA platforms. I produce everything from heartwarming videos, to explainer videos about current events and topics.
In addition to these duties, I produce the follow shows for streaming platforms; Getting Reel - ranking the top 10 movies from each decade, and VERIFY This - a show dedicated to helping the public distinguish between true or false information.

As a video producer, I have covered a number of major events including; two Olympic Games (2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics), award shows, Jan. 6 hearings, and major specials like the death of Queen Elizabeth.

My content at Tegna Media has been viewed over 8,000,000 minutes.
